A--HISTORICAL PLACES ( By surface)
Day 1: Addis Ababa - Bahir Dar
Early morning drive to Bahir Dar through the Blue Nile Gorge. The Blue
Nile Gorge is found at about 210 kms to the north east of Addis Ababa.
It is one of the spectacular Gorge in the world. Picnic lunch around
Dejen and continue driving through the farm land of Gojam. Arrive Bahir
Dar & over night in Tana hotel.
Day 2: Bahir Dar
In the morning drive to the gigantic Blue Nile falls 30 kms far from
Bahir Dar town, locally known as Tis - Isat '' Water the smokes "
After 20 minutes walk you get the water falls. Drive back to Bahir Dar .
In the After noon boat trip on Lake Tana to visit one of the islands
With its Monastery called " Ura-Kidane Mihret ". Dinner and overnight
in Tana hotel.
Day 3: Bahir Dar - Gondar
In the morning drive to Gonder which was the 17th century Capital of
Ethiopia founded by the King Fassiledes. After lunch Visit of the palace
compound, the beautiful church of Debre Birahn Sellassie with its
wonderful Murals and paintings. At last you will have the look of the
village of the former Ethiopian Jews “The Falasha”. Dinner and Over
night in Goha hotel.
Day 4: Gondar - Axum
Early in the morning drive to Axum. Axum is believed to have been the
first Ethiopian Capital from the 1st to 10th century, where Christianity
was introduced through during the 4th century AD. On the way to Axum you
can see part of the remarkable natural beauty of the semen Mountains.
Picnic lunch en route. Arrive Axum and Dinner and overnight in Yeha or
Rehamai hotel.
Day 5: Axum
In the morning sight seeing of Axum, which includes The park of the
standing Stale carved out from one single granite stone of the
pre-Christianity Era, the palace and tombs of one of the Axumite Empire
King Kaleb and Gebre Meskel and the old and new St. Mary of Axum, visit
of the ruins of Queen of Sheba, Inscriptions of Ezana, archeological
Museums etc. Dinner and overnight in Yeha or Rehamai hotel.
Day 6: Axum - Mekele
In the morning drive to Mekele. Mekele is the capital city of Tigray
Region . On the way visit the pre-Axumite Temple of Yeha church of Abune
Aftse . Picnic Lunch en route , arrive in Mekele, Dinner and over night
in Axum hotel..
Day 7: Mekele - Lalaibela
In the morning drive to Lalibela. Picnic Lunch en route, arrive in
Lalibela. Dinner and overnight in your hotel.
Day 8: Lalibela
In the morning start visiting the visiting the first part of the rock
hewn churches of Lalibela, all carved out (inside and outside) of a
solid rock and are architecturally unique ranked among the wonders of
the world. After lunch ,
visit the 2nd part of the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela. . Dinner and
overnight in your hotel.
Day 9: Lalibela - Desse
After break fast drive to Desse.On the way to Desse you visit the Genete
Mariam Monastery. Lunch en route, Arrive Desse. Dinner and Over night at
Desse in Tosa hotel.
Day 10: . Desse - Addis Ababa
After Break fast , departure for Addis via Debre Birehan. It is a Place
of interest in it's old and medieval history. Its monastery believed to
have been built 700 years ago . overnight at hotel

late Emperor Hailesellassie(I) dedicated for the patriots who died in
the liberation of the country from the Facist Italy, The National museum
which display the cultural & archeological findings including the famous
hominds Lucy. After lunch drive to mount Entoto to see the paranomic
view of the town from 3000m above see level , drive back to Piazza area
to see the residence of former Italian viceroys now it is a business
center, continue your visit to Merkato ( the biggest open market in
Africa)
